PRGN HAILS NEW BRUSSELS LOBBYIST REGISTER
Transparency By Célia Sampol
The public register for lobbyists, launched by the European Commission (see Europolitics 3557), has received mixed reactions. Among the enthusiasts, there is PRGN Athenora Consulting, which was glad to be included on the register on the system’s launch. Based in Brussels and a member of the PRGN this firm supports the Commission’s move. Interest representatives must, among other things, indicate their turnover, their clients and the share from each client in the turnover. PRGN Athenora ensures that it has provided all this information. Stéphane Desselas, the firm’s founder and associate professor at Sciences Po Paris believes that in symbolically registering on the register’s launch, PRGN Athenora Consulting shows its confidence in greater transparency in lobbying.
